Mission in the spirituality of Fr. Libermann
The activities proposed by the Generalate Team for the period 2022-2024 invite us to reflect on Mission. In this novena, we propose to take a look at the missionary dimension of the life of our second founder Francis Libermann: his journey in this specific vocation, beginning with the first elements that paved the way for his choice of the mission and other important aspects of his missionary activity, right up to his last words, left as a legacy to his beloved Congregation.
Illuminated by Gospel texts, we will also reflect on the life and journey of Jesus of Nazareth in relation to his mission to proclaim the Kingdom of God.
We will then reflect on the way in which the Congregation today incarnates the charism and missionary spirituality of its founder so that it, in turn, can fulfil the mission of the Divine Master.
Finally, we will conclude by proposing either the prayer for the beatification of Fr. Libermann, or the prayer for the Spiritan mission proposed with the General Council’s Animation Plan.
May this reflection help us to nourish and animate our current mission for the Congregation and the Church!

La Mission dans la spiritualité du P. Libermann
L'animation proposée par l'équipe générale pour la période 2022-2024 nous invite à réfléchir sur la Mission. Dans cette neuvaine, nous vous proposons de jeter un regard sur la dimension missionnaire de la vie de notre second fondateur François Libermann : son cheminement dans cette vocation spécifique, en commençant par les premiers éléments qui ont ouvert la voie à son choix pour la mission et d'autres aspects importants de son activité missionnaire, jusqu'à ses dernières paroles, laissées en héritage à sa chère congrégation.
Éclairés par des textes évangéliques, nous réfléchirons également sur la vie et le chemin de Jésus de Nazareth en relation avec sa mission d'annoncer le Royaume de Dieu.
Puis la réflexion s’inspirera de la manière dont la Congrégation incarne aujourd'hui le charisme et la spiritualité missionnaire du fondateur pour, à son tour, accomplir la mission du Divin Maître.
Enfin, nous proposerons alternativement pour conclure, soit la prière pour la béatification du P. Libermann, soit la prière pour la mission spiritaine proposée avec le Plan d’animation du Conseil général.
Que cette réflexion nous aide à nourrir et à animer notre mission actuelle de la Congrégation et de l'Église !

A Missão na Espiritualidade do P. Libermann
A animação proposta pelo Conselho Geral para o período 2022-2024 convida-nos a refletir sobre a Missão. Nesta novena, propomos lançar um olhar sobre a dimensão missionária da vida do nosso segundo fundador, o P. Francisco Libermann: o seu percurso nesta vocação específica, a partir dos primeiros elementos que abriram o caminho para a sua escolha da missão e outros aspectos importantes da sua atividade missionária, até às suas últimas palavras, deixadas como herança à sua amada congregação.
Iluminados pelos textos evangélicos, reflectiremos também sobre a vida e o caminho de Jesus de Nazaré em relação à sua missão de anunciar o Reino de Deus.
Reflectiremos depois sobre o modo como a Congregação encarna hoje o carisma e a espiritualidade missionária do seu fundador, para que possa, por sua vez, cumprir a missão do Divino Mestre.
Por fim, terminaremos propondo quer a oração pela beatificação do P. Libermann, quer a oração pela missão espiritana, proposta com o Plano de Animação do Conselho Geral.
Que esta reflexão nos ajude a alimentar e a animar a nossa atual missão para a Congregação e para a Igreja!
