The Visit of the Holy Father to Equatorial Guinea
For us Spiritans, the Pope’s visit was a profound blessing and a renewed call to mission. Truly, “the Lord has been great with us, and we are filled with joy.” The theme of the visit, “Christ, Light of Guinea, towards a future of hope,” beautifully captured both the history and the mission of the Church in Equatorial Guinea, especially as the country marks the 170th anniversary of evangelization.

Para nós, Espiritanos, a visita do Papa foi uma bênção profunda e um apelo renovado à missão. Verdadeiramente, «o Senhor foi bom para connosco, e estamos cheios de alegria». O tema da visita, «Cristo, Luz da Guiné, rumo a um futuro de esperança», captou de forma belíssima tanto a história como a missão da Igreja na Guiné Equatorial, especialmente agora que o país celebra o 170.º aniversário da evangelização.
