They (the products of the Seminaire du Saint-Esprit) consecrate themselves preferably to missionary activity both foreign and domestic, offering to go and stay in the poorest and most abandoned places for which it is especially difficult to find candidates. Whether it is a question of being exiled into the remote countryside or buried in the caverns of a hospital, teaching in a college, lecturing in a seminary, directing a poor community, travelling to the farthest corners of the Kingdom of France or staying there in an austere post, whether it is a question even of crossing the seas and going to the very ends of the earth to gain a soul for Christ- their motto is 'Behold, we are ready to do your will: Ecce ego, mitte me'.

Less than six months after his baptism, François Libermann receives the tonsure in the cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris as a cleric for the diocese of Strasbourg.
1987 Portugal
The death of P. Francisco Nogueira da Rocha. He was General Bursar from 1962 to 1974.
1990 Netherlands
The first lay associate signs a contract with the Congregation on leaving for Tanzania. Another follows shortly afterwards.
1993 Ethiopia
Two students of the East African Province come for a year of Spiritan and Pastoral experience. It is repeated for the next three years. Out of the first two to come one is appointed to join the group after his ordination but unfortunately he dies shortly afterwards.

Moins de six mois après son baptême, Libermann reçoit la tonsure à la Cathédrale de Paris comme clerc du diocèse de Strasbourg.

La première associée laïque signe un contrat avec la Congrégation avant de partir en Tanzanie. Une autre suit peu de temps après.
1993 Éthiopie
Les deux premiers étudiants de la Province d’Afrique de l’Est partent pour une année d’expérience pastorale spiritaine. Ceci va se répéter les trois années suivantes. De ces deux premiers, un est destiné à rejoindre le groupe d’Éthiopie après son ordination ; malheureusement, il meurt peu après.

Falecimento do P. Francisco Nogueira da Rocha. Figura muito marcante na vida da Província; foi Ecónomo Geral da Congregação de 1962 a 1974.
1990 Holanda
A primeira associada leiga assina um contrato com a Congregação antes de partir para a Tanzânia. Pouco tempo depois segue uma segunda.
1993 Etiópia
Os dois primeiros estudantes da Província da África de Leste partem para um ano de experiência pastoral espiritana. Isto vai-se repetir nos três anos seguintes. Destes dois primeiros, um foi nomeado para se juntar ao grupo da Etiópia depois da sua ordenação; infelizmente morre pouco depois.
