In the long run, is there any other way of handing on the Gospel than by transmitting to another person one's personal experience of faith? The first world-wide meeting of Spiritan Lay Associates is held at Bethel Park, Pittsburgh.
1999 Gabon
The 50th anniversary of the foundation of Collège Bessieux. The ceremony is presided over by Mgr. Basile Mvé Engone, Archbishop of Libreville, and the Prime Minister, Jean-François N'toutoume Emane. Both are past students of the college.
Y aurait-il au fond une autre manière de livrer l’Évangile, que de transmettre à un autre sa propre expérience de la foi ? Il ne faudrait pas que l’urgence d’annoncer la Bonne Nouvelle aux masses d’hommes fasse oublier cette forme d’annonce par laquelle la conscience personnelle d’un homme est atteinte, touchée par une parole tout à fait extraordinaire d’un autre.

Ouverture de la première maison spiritaine en Écosse, à Uddington en Glasgow . C’est la maison la plus au nord dans toute la Congrégation.

Du 17 au 21 juin 1991, la première rencontre des Spiritains laïcs et associés s'est déroulée à Bethel Park , près de Pittsburgh.
1999 Gabon
Célébration de 50ème anniversaire de la fondation du Collège Bessieux. La cérémonie est présidée par Monseigneur Basile Mvé Engone archevêque de Libreville et Jean François N’toutoume Emane Premier ministre, tous les deux anciens élèves du Collège, en présence de nombreux autres anciens élèves.
Vistas bem as coisas, haveria outra forma melhor de transmitir o Evangelho, para além da que consiste em comunicar a outrem a sua própria experiência de fé? Importaria, pois, que a urgência de anunciar a Boa Nova às multidões de homens, nunca fizesse esquecer esta forma de anúncio, pela qual a consciência pessoal de um homem é atingida, tocada por uma palavra realmente extraordinária, que ela recebe de outro.
