On this day
Be with Mary like a little child is with his dear Mother. When he has a bruise, he goes to show it quickly to his mother. He is less preoccupied with the cure than with his desire to have his mother see the wound, so that she will show him tenderness and give him a little caress. The mother caresses him and dresses the wound, and the little child, without much worrying about the cure, is content and calm. His mother has given him a kiss and said a little loving word, and he is satisfied.

Soyez avec Marie comme un petit enfant avec sa chère Mère. Il a du mal, il va aussitôt le montrer à sa mère. Il est bien moins préoccupé de la guérison que du désir de faire voir le mal à sa mère afin qu’elle s’attendrisse sur lui et qu’elle lui fasse une petite caresse. La mère le caresse et lui panse la plaie, et le petit, sans s’inquiéter de la guérison, est content et tranquille. Sa mère lui a donné un baiser, elle lui a dit un petit mot d’amour, et il est satisfait.

Com Maria, seja como uma criancinha com a sua querida Mãe. Dói-lhe alguma coisa, vai imediatamente mostrar à mãe. Está menos preocupado com a cura do que com o desejo de mostrar à mãe o seu mal para que ela tenha pena dele e lhe faça uma pequena carícia. A mãe acarinha-o, pensa a ferida, e o pequeno, sem se preocupar com a cura, está contente e tranquilo. A mãe deu-lhe um beijo, disse-lhe uma palavrinha de amor, e ele está satisfeito.

1960 Cameroon
Père Jean Courtcuisse leaves his house in the village of Botko before six in the morning to go to the chapel. Along with the village head and another man, he gunned down by a group of terrorists. He was a zealous missionary who was trying to maintain the presence of the Church in the Babimbi area.

1969 Haiti
Under the anti-Communist laws, the Gov-ernment expels five Haitian Spiritans from their country: Antoine Adrien, Jean-Paul Claude, Max Domi-nique, Paddy Pou and Ernst Verdieu. The Collège Saint Martial is taken from the community.
1980 Gambia
Opening of the first Noviciate of the West African Foundation at Bwiam. Four novices make profession on the 15 August 1981.

Le P. Ernest Ramiaramanisa 1er prêtre malgache de Mahajanga, reçoit l'ordination sacerdotale, de Mgr Wolff, dans l'église de Mahabibo.
1960 Cameroun
Le Père Jean Courtecuisse, le matin du 15 août 1960, au village de Botko, va à la chapelle peu avant 6 heures. Un groupe de maquisards l'entoure et le fusille, avec le chef de village et un autre habitant. Le Père, tenait à maintenir la présence de l'Église dans le pays babimbi.

En vertu de la loi anti-communiste, le gouvernement expulse de leur pays cinq confrères haïtiens: les PP. Antoine Adrien, Jean-Paul Claude, Max Dominique, Paddy Pou, Ernst Verdieu, pour s’être attaqués à la hiérarchie, aux principes d'autorité et d'obéissance. On enlève Saint-Martial à la communauté.
1980 Gambia
Ouverture du 1er noviciat de la Fondation d’Afrique de l’Ouest à Bwiam, près de Banjul. Sur les 6 novices qui y entrent, 4 font leur première profession le 15.08.1981

1960 Camarões
O Padre Jean Courtecuisse, na manhã de 15 de Agosto de 1960, na aldeia de Botkovai à capela pouco antes das 6 horas. Chega um grupo de guerrilheiros que o cercam e fuzilam, com o chefe da aldeia e um outro habitante. Era um padre empenhado em manter a presença da Igreja no país ‘babimbi’.

1969 Haiti
Em virtude da lei anticomunista, o governo expulsa do seu país cinco confrades haitianos: os PP. Antoine Adrien, Jean-Paul Claude, Max Dominique, Paddy Pou, Ernest Verdieu, por se oporem à hierarquia, aos princípios de autoridade e obediência. O Colégio S. Marcial é-lhes retirado.

Data de abertura do primeiro Noviciado da Fundação da África de Oeste em Bwiam, próximo de Banjul. Entraram seis noviços; quatro fazem a profissão a 15 de Agosto de 1981.
1997 Etiópia
Os dois grupos da Etiópia celebram juntos as suas Bodas de Prata em Addis Abeba.
