After an attentive study of the document, the Congregation for Religious and Secular Institutes recognises that this Rule of Life commits Spiritans to respond to the needs of evangelisation in their time, in living fidelity to the charisms of their founders, Claude Poullart des Places and François Libermann. The preaching of the Good News, the practice of the evangelical counsels and life in fraternal and praying community are the three essential elements that give their apostolic life both its basis and unity. They participate in the Church's mission, according to their proper vocation, by evangelising the poor, going more especially to those who have not yet heard the Gospel message and to those whose needs are greatest.
