On this day
Until now, you have been in the habit of working by yourself, and considering your work as something. That is why seeing your weakness, you get discouraged. But once abandoned into the God’s hands, you will get used to seeing your own incapacity. You will recognize that God alone must be and do all things in you. It is then you will begin to make some progress.

Jusqu’à présent vous avez été dans l’habitude de travailler vous-même, et de considérer votre travail pour quelque chose. Voilà pourquoi voyant votre faiblesse, vous vous découragiez. Mais une fois abandonné entre les mains de Dieu, vous vous habituerez à voir votre incapacité. Vous reconnaîtrez que Dieu seul doit être et faire toutes choses en vous. Et c’est alors que vous commencerez à faire quelques progrès.

Até agora você estava habituado a trabalhar por si mesmo, e a considerar o seu trabalho com valor. É por isso que, vendo a sua fraqueza, você desanima. Mas quando estiver abandonado nas mãos de Deus, habituar-se-á a ver a sua incapacidade. Reconhecerá que só Deus deve ser e fazer tudo em si. E é então que começará a fazer algum progresso.

1926 Netherlands
The Belgian/Dutch Province buys an old office at Gennep belonging to the railway, known affectionately as "The Barracks"! It is used for the philosophers and, subsequently, for the novices.
1932 Gambia
Seven Spiritans are appointed to The Gambia. Due to illness or death, they serve the mission for an average of only ten months.
1947 Congo
The regional senior seminary is transferred from Libreville to Brazzaville.
1956 Portugal/Spain
On the day when the students are returning to the junior seminary at Paredas da Nava, P. José Maria Felgueiras is seriously injured while rescuing a student in danger of falling under a train. He dies of his injuries on November 26th.
1926 Pays-Bas
La Province belgo-néerlandaise achète un ancien bureau d'une Société de chemins de fer supprimée, appelée populairement "la Baraque", à Gennep. Le bâtiment est destiné aux philosophes et ensuite aux novices.
1932 Gambie

Le grand séminaire régional quitte Libreville pour s’installer à Brazzaville où il commence l’année scolaire avec la 1ère année de philosophie et la 2ème année de théologie.
1956 Portugal-Espagne
Ce jour, alors que les élèves revenaient au petit séminaire de Paredas da Nava, le P. José Maria Felgueiras est gravement blessé : en portant secours à un élève en danger, il tombe sous le train et meurt de ses blessures le 26 novembre.

A Província belgo-holandesa compra um antigo escritório duma sociedade de caminhos de ferro que fora suprimida, popularmente chamada “La Baraque” em Gennep. O edifício é destinado para os filósofos e em seguida para os noviços.

Sete espiritanos são nomeados para a Gâmbia. Devido a doença e morte, trabalharam aí apenas durante dez meses, em média.

O Seminário Maior regional deixa Libreville para se fixar em Brazzaville, Congo, onde começa o ano escolar com o 1º ano de filosofia e o 2º de teologia.
1956 Portugal-Espanha
Neste dia da entrada dos rapazes para o Seminário de Paredes de Nava, o P. José Maria Felgueiras é vítima de um acidente na estação de Paredes de Nava, ao tentar ajudar um aluno em perigo. Viria a falecer, vítima desse acidente, 52 dias depois, a 26 de Novembro de 1956.
