1958 Gambia
Bishop Moloney is enthroned as the first Bishop of the new Diocese of Bathurst in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption. The same day, but 53 years before, Fr. John Meehan from the Irish Province, arrives in Gambia where he works until his death in 1954.
1973 United Kingdom
The only Spiritan house in Scotland is transferred from Uddingston to Carfin; it will continue with vocations work and youth apostolate. The first superior is Scottish Spiritan, Fr. Frank O'Donnell.
1974 Sierra Leone
A Senior Seminary is set up in Gbarnga, Liberia, for the training of future priests from Sierra Leone, the Gambia and Liberia. Spiritans are associated with the seminary. Later, during the Liberian Civil War in 1990, it is transferred to the town of Makeni in Sierra Leone.
1975 Malawi
At this point, there are eight Spiritans working in four parishes.
Dans toute l’histoire de la vocation de ces deux disciples (André et Jean), le saint Evangéliste nous montre la marche que Notre Seigneur suit pour appeler les âmes à lui, et pour leur faire suivre la perfection de son divin amour. Tous ceux qui ont le bonheur d'appartenir au divin Maître reconnaîtront dans ces trois versets leur propre histoire, ou l'histoire de la bonté, de la douceur et de l'amour de Jésus pour eux; car on voit en tout cela vraiment la douceur et la simplicité de l'Agneau de Dieu paraître avec éclat.

1958 Gambia
Intronisation dans la cathédrale N.D. de l’Assomption de Mgr Moloney, 1er évêque du diocèse de Bathurst. Le même jour, mais 53 années auparavant, le P. John Meehan, de la Province d’Irlande, arrivait en Gambie pour y travailler jusqu’en 1954.
1973 Royaume-Uni
L’unique maison spiritaine d’Ecosse est transferée d’Uddingston à Carfin ; elle poursuit son travail vocationnel et l’apostolat des jeunes. Le P. Frank O’Donnell, Spiritain écossais, est son premier supérieur.
1974 Sierra Leone
Fondation d’un grand séminaire à Gbarnga, au Liberia, pour la formation des futurs prêtres de Sierra Leone, Gambie et Liberia. Les Spiritains s’associent à ce séminaire. Plus tard, pendant la guerre civile du Liberia en 1990, il est transféré à Makeni, en Sierra Leone.

Na história da vocação destes dois discípulos (André e João), o santo Evangelho mostra-nos o percurso que Nosso Senhor seguiu para chamar as almas a ele, e para lhes fazer seguir a perfeição do seu divino amor. Todos aqueles que tiverem a felicidade de pertencer ao divino Mestre reconhecerão nestes três versículos a sua própria história ou a história da bondade, da doçura e do amor de Jesus por eles; porque se vê verdadeiramente em tudo isso aparecer brilhantemente a doçura e a simplicidade do Cordeiro de Deus.

1958 Gâmbia
O bispo Moloney foi entronizado como primeiro bispo da nova Diocese de Bathurst na Catedral de Nossa Senhora da Assunção. No mesmo dia, mas 53 anos antes, o P. John Meehan da Província da Irlanda, tinha chegado à Gâmbia onde trabalhou até à sua morte, em 1954.

Carfin, estrada 117 Newarthill, foi adquirida para um centro de juventude e vocacional. O primeiro superior foi o P. Frank O’Donnel.
1974 Serra Leoa
Foi fundado um Seminário Maior em Gbarnga, Libéria, para a formação dos futuros padres da Serra Leoa, Gâmbia e Libéria. Os espiritanos ficaram ligados ao seminário. Mais tarde, durante a guerra civil da Libéria em 1990, foi necessário transferir o Seminário para Makeni. De um padre em 1960, os números subiram em 1997 acima de 50. Muitas novas paróquias.
