On 26 May, I had the pleasure of attending the Safe Birth for All Conference in Marino. The event brought together approximately 35 participants in person and a further 112 attendees online. It was an exceptionally informative conference, attracting a diverse audience ranging from those with a general interest in the topic to surgeons, funders, religious representatives, NGO staff, and advocacy groups. Encouragingly, this community of interest continues to grow over time.
Participants heard contributions from Sister Sylvia and a fellow member of her congregation, Dr. Shane Duffy, advocates from the Safe Birth for All campaign, and many others who joined online. The breadth of perspectives shared made for a rich and engaging discussion. Further details can be found here.
