You know these words of Saint Paul “God chose those who are nothing at all, to show up those who are everything. For it is when I am weak that I am strong”, by trusting in him who is my strength. He will be my strength if he finds me very weak. He simply must, he is sovereignly wise. Now if he uses an instrument incapable of itself to serve for the work he puts to it, he must put his own capability into it.

Sachez cette parole de Saint Paul « Dieu a choisi ce qui n’était pas, pour détruire ce qui était. Lorsque je suis faible, c’est alors que je suis fort », par la confiance en celui qui est ma force. Il le sera s’il me trouve trop faible. Or il emploie un instrument incapable par lui-même de servir à l’objet auquel il l’emploie, il faut donc qu’il y mette du sien.

Prestai atenção a esta palavra de São Paulo « Deus escolheu o que não era para destruir o que era. Quando sou fraco é então que sou forte », pela confiança naquele que é a minha força. Ele será essa força se me encontrar demasiado fraco. Ora, Ele emprega um instrumento incapaz por si mesmo de servir para o objetivo em que o emprega, assim deve dar a sua contribuição.

I am convinced, my dear friend, that the ultimate consummation of our love that will take place in heaven is foreshadowed in this life in the Eucharist, this masterpiece of unity that Jesus gave to his saints on this earth. He made sure that we would always live in perfect union with him by giving us his Holy Spirit; but in the Blessed Sacrament, he bestows on us such a fullness of this Holy Spirit and such a great gift of love and union that we would surely die if we were completely aware of it.

1844 Liberia
The American Hierarchy are concerned about the liberated slaves in Liberia and Sierra Leone. They send Monsignor Barron, Fr Kelly and a catechist, James Pindar, to investigate.
1846 Senegal
The first Mass is celebrated on the pen-insular of Dakar. The Spiritans leave the honour of presiding to M. Arlabosse, Vice-Prefect of Saint-Louis and the homily is given by L\'abbé Boilat, one of three first three Senegalese priests.
1950 Trinidad
Numerous vocations to the Holy Ghost Congregation from past students of the College. Eventually, 14 Trinidadians are to serve on the Nigerian mission, mainly with the Irish Spiritans.
1982 Puerto Rico
After 50 years working in Puerto Rico, the District holds its first Chapter, with the participation of 26 members.
Je crois, mon très cher, que cette grande consommation de notre charité, qui ne s’accomplira que dans le ciel, doit avoir son plus beau commencement, ici-bas, dans la très sainte Eucharistie, chef d’œuvre de l’union de N.S.J.C. avec ses saints sur la terre. 1844 Liberia
L’épiscopat américain s’intéresse aux esclaves libérés du Liberia et de la Sierra Leone. Il envoie Mgr. Barron, le P.Kelly et le catéchiste James Pindar s’informer.
1846 Sénégal
La première messe est célébrée sur la presqu’île de Dakar. Les spiritains laissent à Mr. Arlabosse, vice-préfet de Saint-Louis, l’honneur de la présider ; l’homélie est donnée par l’abbé Boilat, l’un des trois premiers prêtres sénégalais.
1950 Trinidad
Il y a beaucoup de vocations spiritaines parmi les anciens élèves du collège. Finalement c’est 14 Trinidadiens qui travaillent dans la mission du Nigeria, surtout avec les Spiritains irlandais.
1982 Porto Rico
Premier chapitre du district après cinquante ans d’activité à Porto Rico ; 26 confrères y participaient.
Eu creio, caríssimo, que a grande consumação da nossa caridade, que só se realizará no céu, deve ter o seu mais belo começo aqui em baixo, na Santíssima Eucaristia, obra prima da união de N.S.J.C. com os seus santos na terra. Ele tomou bem as suas precauções para que nós estejamos sempre numa perfeita união com ele, dando-nos o seu Espírito Santo, que é consumador de toda a santidade. Mas, no Santíssimo Sacramento, ele comunica-nos uma tão grande plenitude do Espírito Santo e um tão grande dom de amor e de união, que morreríamos infalivelmente se o víssemos claramente.

A Hierarquia americana interessou-se pelos escravos livres na Libéria e Serra Leoa. Ela envia Mons. Barron, o P. Kelly e o catequista, James Pindar para se informarem.
