The Congregation of the Holy Spirit was founded on the day of Pentecost, 1703, by M. Poulart-Deplaces of the diocese of Rennes with a view to training priests consecrated to working in the most neglected works. For a long time, this work relied entirely on alms given by charitable people; the venerable founder himself used to go looking for such help and then he would serve the students with his own hands and help them by doing the most menial of tasks.

Messire Claude-François Poullart des Places, in the year one thousand, seven hundred and three, on the Feast of Pentecost, while still only an aspirant to the ecclesiastical state, began the establishment of the so-called Community and Seminary consecrated to the Holy Spirit, under the invocation of the of Holy Virgin conceived without sin. 1998 Central African Foundation
The General Council decides, after discussions at Kribi in Cameroon, that the four founding districts of the FAC should work towards a fusion to be known as the "Province of Central Africa."
La congrégation du Saint-Esprit fut fondée le jour de la Pentecôte 1703 par M. Poulart-Desplaces, du diocèse de Rennes, dans le but d'élever des ecclésiastiques destinés à se consacrer aux œuvres les plus délaissées. Longtemps cette œuvre ne subsista que des aumônes de personnes charitables ; le vénérable fondateur allait lui-même les chercher, puis il servait ses élèves de ses propres mains, et leur rendait les services les plus humbles.

Messire Claude François Poullart des Places, en mil sept cent trois, aux fêtes de la Pentecôte, n'étant alors qu'aspirant à l'état ecclésiastique, a commencé l'établissement de ladite communauté et Séminaire consacré au Saint Esprit, sous l'invocation de la Sainte Vierge conçue sans péché. 1998 Fondation d’Afrique Centrale
Le Conseil général de Rome estime qu'au terme des réflexions de Kribi (Cameroun), les 4 Districts Fondateurs de la FAC peuvent envisager leur fusion et constituer la Province d'Afrique Centrale.
A Congregação do Espirito Santo foi fundada no dia de Pentecostes de 1703 por Poullart des Places, da diocese de Rennes, com o fim de educar eclesiásticos destinados a consagrarem-se às obras mais abandonadas. Durante muito tempo esta obra subsistiu apenas com as esmolas de pessoas caritativas; o venerável fundador ia ele próprio procurá-las, depois servia os alunos com as suas próprias mãos e prestava-lhes os serviços mais humildes.

Cláudio Francisco Poullart des Places, em mil setecentos e três, nas Festas do Pentecostes, sendo apenas aspirante ao estado eclesiástico, começou a fundação da dita comunidade e Seminário consagrado ao Espírito Santo, sob a invocação da Santíssima Virgem concebida sem pecado. O Conselho Geral de Roma pensa que ao fim das reflexões de Kribi (Camarões), os 4 Distritos Fundadores da FAC podem encarar a sua fusão e constituir a Província da África Central.
