It is interesting to observe the approach of these first Spiritan missionaries towards the people. They welcomed the people, listened to them with respect, walked with them and, on occasions, ate with them. They organised a catechetical programme adapted to the social mentality, they enlisted catechists and gave special attention to their formation. The Spiritan charism was well exemplified by these early Spiritans; they highlighted the presence of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit among the Huastecan and Nahuatl people. Those of us who are privileged to be their successors salute them with admiration.

1985 Puerto Rico
The first member of the foundation is ordained priest, Fr. José Alamo.
1994 Poland
Creation of the Sanctuary dedicated to Daniel Brottier at Chojnice.
1995 Papua New Guinea
The Province of Nigeria becomes a partner in the PNG mission due to the acute shortage of personnel. At present, five Spiritans from the province are working in the country.
1996 Central African Foundation
As the Foundation prepares to become a Province, it is made up of 41 priests, 4 brothers, 44 scholastics, 20 novices and 39 students in first cycle. 24 priests and brothers are working ad extra in 11 different provinces and districts.
Il est intéressant de noter l'esprit qui animait les Pères à cette (première) étape de l'évangélisation du Mexique. Pleins d'attention pour ces communautés, ils recevaient et écoutaient les gens avec beaucoup de respect et d'attention, marchaient et mangeaient avec eux en certaines occasions, organisaient des catéchèses adaptées à leur mentalité et recrutaient beaucoup de catéchistes auxquels ils donnaient une bonne et adéquate formation tant initiale que continue. Il apparaît clairement que le charisme spiritain fut réellement vécu par ces premiers confrères dans la Huastéca, au sein de ces populations Nahuatl et Huastéca.

1995 Papouasie Nouvelle Guinée
La Province du Nigeria devient partenaire de la mission en PNG ; il y a grand besoin de personnel. Actuellement, cinq Spiritains de cette Province travaillent dans le pays.
1996 Fondation d’Afrique Centrale
Alors que commence à se préparer le passage de Fondation à Province, la FAC compte 41 Pères, 4 Frères, 44 scolastiques, 20 novices et 39 étudiants du ler cycle. Il y a 24 Pères et Frères au travail dans 11 provinces ou districts.
É interessante salientar o espírito que animava os Padres nesta (primeira) etapa da evangelização do México. Muito atentos a estas comunidades, recebiam e escutavam as pessoas com muito respeito e atenção, andavam e comiam com elas em certas ocasiões, organizavam catequeses adaptadas à sua mentalidade e recrutavam muitos catequistas aos quais davam uma boa e adequada formação tanto inicial como contínua. Era bem claro que o carisma espiritano foi realmente vivido por estes primeiros confrades em Huasteca, no seio destas populações Nahuati e Huasteca.

Em 1995, a Província da Nigéria tornou-se um parceiro na missão da Papuásia Nova Guiné devido à grande falta de pessoal. Presentemente cinco Espiritanos da Província da Nigéria trabalham incansavelmente na PNG.
1996 Fundação da África Central
Quando se começa a preparar a passagem de Fundação a Província, a FAC tem 41 padres, 4 irmãos, 44 Escolásticos, 20 noviços e 39 estudantes do 1º ciclo. Há 24 padres e Irmãos a trabalhar em 11 Províncias ou Distritos.
