If we feel that we are miserable, it is the joy of our heart because we see that God alone is great, God alone is beautiful, kind, filled with all perfection and worthy of our love.
Francis Libermann
Cf. Spiritual Letters, I, 27, 1837.
Cf. Lettres Spirituelles, I, 27, 1837.
Francisco Libermann
Cf. Cartas Espirtuais, I, 27, 1837.
Our preaching of the Gospel has different styles, determined by the times and places in which we are living. We announce the Gospel to people and groups who have not yet heard it. We foster the growth of young Christian communities born from the preaching of the Gospel. In certain circumstances, it is not possible for us to preach the Gospel by word. In such cases. our motivation is the conviction that the Holy Spirit is already present and that our presence is witness and service in the name of the Gospel for the Kingdom.

1840 Libermann
Libermann finishes his pilgrimage to Loretto and Assisi. It is a real pilgrimage, made between mid-November and mid-December, almost entirely on foot. It is also a retreat of abandonment to the will of God, to prepare himself for whatever mission awaits him.
1841 Deux Guinées
Edward Barron, John Kelly and Denis Pindar set out from the U.S. for Liberia.
1941 Cape Verde
Pères Lucio and Lindorfo arrive on the island of Santiago to take over the parishes of St Nicolau Tolentino and Salvador do Mundo.
1968 Mauritania
Blessing of the cathedral in the capital, Nouakchott. Each year, the pastoral agents come together to expand their study of the country, of Islam and of the nature of the Church's presence in this country.

1840 Libermann
